Ingredients

  • 50 g rolled oats
  • 170 g reduced-fat Greek yoghurt
  • 125 ml reduced-fat milk (or high-protein milk)
  • 25 g vanilla whey protein isolate
  • 10 g chia seeds
  • 100 g small ripe peach — diced
  • 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey optional
  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds optional

Instructions

  1. In a large jar or container, combine the oats, protein powder, chia seeds and cinnamon.
  2. Add the yoghurt, milk and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  3. Fold through the grated ginger and diced peach.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 6 hours).
  5. Stir well before serving. If the oats have thickened too much, add a splash of milk.
  6. Top with chopped almonds if desired.

Tips for GLP-1 users

Dietitian Tip: If nausea is severe first thing in the morning, eat half the jar and save the remainder for later.
