Nausea Breakfast
Ginger Peach Protein Overnight Oats
High-protein breakfast for GLP-1 nausea, built around rolled oats and reduced-fat Greek yoghurt — sized for a smaller appetite.
Ingredients
- 50 g rolled oats
- 170 g reduced-fat Greek yoghurt
- 125 ml reduced-fat milk (or high-protein milk)
- 25 g vanilla whey protein isolate
- 10 g chia seeds
- 100 g small ripe peach — diced
- 1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
- 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp maple syrup or honey optional
- 1 tbsp chopped almonds optional
Instructions
- In a large jar or container, combine the oats, protein powder, chia seeds and cinnamon.
- Add the yoghurt, milk and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Fold through the grated ginger and diced peach.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 6 hours).
- Stir well before serving. If the oats have thickened too much, add a splash of milk.
- Top with chopped almonds if desired.
Tips for GLP-1 users
Dietitian Tip: If nausea is severe first thing in the morning, eat half the jar and save the remainder for later.
