How Food Signals works
A GLP-1 changes how you eat — this is the tool for the day-to-day of it. A quick tour: set it up around your situation, log meals, symptoms and injection timing, track your protein, and find recipes scored for how you're feeling. It runs in your browser right now.
It starts by learning how food feels for you right now
Getting started takes a few minutes — here's the whole journey. Before anything else, a short onboarding calibrates the app to your reality — because "eating well" on a GLP-1 isn't the same for everyone, and it changes over time. You can update it whenever things shift.
- Your GLP-1 situation. Where you're at on your medication, so guidance fits your stage — not a generic starting point.
- How food feels. A quick calibration of your appetite and tolerance right now, so portions and suggestions match what you can realistically manage.
- Preferences & allergies. What you like, what you avoid, and what you can't eat — so recipe suggestions are actually usable.
- Your targets. Personalised nutrition reference ranges the app uses to guide protein and nutrient tracking.
A "Today" home that meets you where you are
Open the app and you land on Today: a simple home for the day ahead. It shows a personalised outlook — a plain-language note about what you tend to notice in your own logs — and a recommended recipe you can view or swap for something that suits you better.
A personalised outlook.
Written from your own logged patterns, in plain language — never a prediction or a diagnosis, just what your data tends to show.
A recipe for right now.
One suggestion to start from, with a quick swap if it's not what you feel like.
One timeline for meals, symptoms, water and injections
The Journal is where it all comes together. Log a meal by photo, a quick description, or by repeating a previous one. Note the symptoms that matter to you, and how strong they are. Track water through the day, and mark your injection once a week. Everything sits on a single timeline, so the shape of your week is easy to see at a glance.
Meals
Photo, text, or repeat a previous meal.
Symptoms
Log the ones that matter to you, with severity.
Water
A running tally through the day.
Injection
Mark it once a week to anchor your timeline (just the timing, and whether the dose is new, the same, increased or decreased — never the medication or dose amount).
Keep an eye on protein and nutrients — without the spreadsheet
The Tracking view turns your logs into something useful: your protein and key nutrients measured against the personalised targets from onboarding, with recent averages and a trend so you can tell a rough day from a rough fortnight. It's the practical answer to "am I actually getting enough?"
Against your targets.
Protein and nutrients compared to your own reference ranges.
Averages and trend.
Recent multi-day averages and a trend line for the bigger picture.
Recipes scored for how you're feeling
Every recipe carries a Food Signals Score: a 0–100 rating of how well it tends to be tolerated on a GLP-1, plus individual scores for common side effects like nausea, low appetite, fatigue, bloating and constipation. Filter for the symptom that's bothering you today and pick from the meals that score best for it. It's the same scoring Ruby built for her clinic, surfaced for you.
